Our meeting in autumn 2013 took place as planned in Germerode from October 18 to 20. The theme was „Smallholder farmers adapting to climate change“. It was a small, but very active group of participants who presented experiences and suggestions towards the theme. During dicussions, it became obvious, that for smallholders and pastoralists in developing countries, climate change is only one of several stress factors such as land grabbing, fluctuations of produce and input prices, shortage of labour or invasive plants an animals.

Unfortuantely, Djibril Thiam of AGRECOL-Afrique could not attend due to last minute problems with visa.
